CHE Salons are held every other week. This is the the A place to come and find inspiration as you learn about CHE’s inner and outer workings. On these evenings, people who are actively involved with CHE and guest speakers share who they are and what they do. The approach is to examine topics from a holistic perspective using models such as Spiral Dynamics, the Integral Model, and Theory U.
Salons are lively gatherings where people engage in “big talk”—conversations that amuse, challenge, amaze, and are sometimes acted upon with passion. From the ancient Greek symposia to Gertrude Stein’s famous Paris gatherings, salons have always been incubators of provocative—and at times even dangerous—ideas: the frontiers of cultural change.

CHE Salons typically combine practical experience with theory. Presenters are experts in their fields who share a topic close to their hearts, drawing on their own experiences while offering a broader perspective. They are invited to push their own boundaries in front of the gathered audience, so that the evening will provide them with new insights as well. Once the presenter has brought the theme to life, the collective exploration begins. To tap into the collective wisdom and intelligence, we practice unconventional ways of conducting conversations, such as speaking to the center, not reacting to what another has said, and working with silence.
The evenings are hosted by people who hold various roles within CHE NL. They do this in such a way that those in attendance learn as they listen to “what wants to be said,” as the topic reveals more of itself through the people present. Some Salons are held in English, and at the Dutch-language events, you’ll always find people willing to translate or speak English for your benefit.

The CHE Salons are held at Venwoude, Vuursche Steeg 1, Lage Vuursche from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m..
We offer these salons based on the Purpose and Principles or CHE NL. To be able to continue organizing these events, we ask for a contribution toward the costs involved. The suggested amount is a minimum of € 7,50.
There is an opportunity to share a meal at Venwoude at 6 PM. The vegetarian meal costs €13.50, and with this contribution, you support this community that has been offering us their hospitality over the years. If you would like to join us for dinner, please indicate this when you register for the Salon evening.

The presenters are knowledgeable individuals who, drawing on their own experiences and a broader perspective, shed light on a topic close to their hearts. Presenters are invited to explore their own boundaries together with the audience, so that the evening also yields new insights for them. Once the speaker has brought the theme to life, the collective exploration begins. To tap into the collective wisdom and intelligence, we practice unconventional forms of conversation at the salons, such as speaking toward the center, refraining from reacting to one another, and working with silence.
The evenings are facilitated by people who hold roles at the CHE. They “host” in such a way that participants listen—while learning—to “what needs to be said,” so that the topic reveals more of itself through the participants.

Visiting a salon
The CHE Salons usually take place on Venwoude, Vuursche Steeg 1, Lage Vuursche from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
We offer these salons through the “Intent and Principles” from the CHE. To ensure we can continue to make this possible, we ask for a financial contribution toward the organizational costs. The target amount is at least € 7,50.
Sometimes it's possible to have dinner together at 6:00 p.m. before the event. This will be indicated in the invitation.
To help us plan for the number of participants and organize the event, we ask that you register no later than the Sunday before the show via salons@humanemergence.nl.
