Oldest Daughter Day, March 8, Amsterdam

What is it like to be the oldest daughter? That question is central on this (afternoon) day exclusively for women who were – and are – the oldest at home. They were guinea pigs and only children until a new baby came and they suddenly became the oldest daughter. First they went to daycare and school, came home with friends and left the parental home. How has this position affected their lives? What kind of properties have we developed.

According to the method of grounded research, on the Oldest Daughter Day, the stories are collected on the basis of which eldest daughters Lisette Schuitemaker and journalist Wies Enthoven make a book.
