Giro555 is calling on the Netherlands to show solidarity with people in countries where getting vaccinated is much more difficult than it is here\u2014for example, due to logistical challenges and inadequate healthcare systems. In the event of major disasters, 11 partner aid organizations join forces under the name Giro555. The funds raised are used to facilitate vaccinations in vulnerable countries and to provide emergency medical aid to COVID-19 victims. So please donate to Giro 555!!!<\/p>\n

\u201cWhether you live in Africa, Europe, or Asia, it won't be safe until everyone is vaccinated<\/em>,\u201d says Suzanne Laszlo, chair of the Giro555 campaign. \u201c"All eyes are now on India, but we\u2019re holding our breath to see what might happen in other countries in the coming weeks and months."<\/em> According to the campaign chair, the world can only overcome this pandemic if vaccinations are administered globally, regardless of nationality or income. \u201c\u201cWhile people in the Netherlands are receiving protection, we want to ask them to show solidarity with people in vulnerable countries, where getting vaccinated is by no means a given.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The activities of the Quality Centre Malawi Foundation (www.qcnetwerk.nl<\/a>) are at a standstill because there are far too few vaccines there.
