Wat is dekolonisatie?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Nederland heeft, net als de meeste West-Europese landen, al lange tijd afstand gedaan van haar koloni\u00ebn. Toch is de \u2018koloniale mindset\u2019 nog diep verankerd in het denken en gedrag van Nederlanders. Ook functioneert het economisch systeem dat is ontstaan in de koloniale tijd, nog steeds op dezelfde manier in onze huidige tijd. Goedkope productie en outsourcing naar arme (lage lonen-) landen en grote opbrengst voor rijke landen.<\/p>\n

Dekolonisatie is het proces van bewustwording van deze koloniale mindset en vervolgens het werk aan het loslaten ervan. Dat wil zeggen, dat we gaan herkennen hoe onze manier van kijken en denken, en onze gewoonten, sterk be\u00efnvloed zijn door het kolonialisme: het veroveren en toe-eigenen van land, van grondstoffen, van natuur en ook van mensen. En dat alles vanuit een superieure levensvisie, dat westerse witte mensen, hoger staan op de evolutionaire ladder. Dat zij meer\/beter zouden zijn dan de gekleurde mens, dat zij recht hebben op eigenaarschap en zeggenschap over de aarde en haar rijke grondstoffen. Een andere kant van de koloniale mindset bestaat uit het -lang weggestopte- intergenerationele trauma van gekleurde Nederlanders die na 1950 naar Nederland zijn gekomen uit Indonesi\u00eb, en van zwarte Nederlanders wiens voorouders van generatie op generatie als slaaf hebben geleefd.<\/p>\n

In de Constellatie Dekolonisatie onderzoeken we hoe het koloniale verleden van Nederland doorwerkt in ons bewustzijn en in de huidige samenleving. Daarbij kijken we ook naar hoe dat verleden onze eigen levens heeft be\u00efnvloed en nog steeds be\u00efnvloedt.\u00a0<\/p>\n
