Integrated organizational development: towards teal organizations with Heleen Kuiper and Toon Franken
Organizations are important entities in society. They are the places where people work together, create added value and help shape society. There is a lot going on in the field of innovation and renewal of organizations: 'Organising Semco style', 'new organization' or 'teal organizing' are concepts that you may be familiar with. Experiments are being conducted with more self-organization and less planning and control. More freedom and humanity and fewer (bureaucratic) systems and unnecessary rules. The reasons for this lie on the one hand in the rapidly changing society: the old way of organizing makes it impossible to respond adequately to these changes, and on the other hand in people's desire for more meaning in their work.
How does the workplace become an invitation to conscious development?
– The ''whole person'' takes center stage again, with his intuition, creativity and freedom to act.
– Creating purpose, meaning and added value as a theme.
– Self-organization as a natural way of working together.
Are these real options, is this already happening or is this a naive illusion?
In this CHE salon we reflect on the developments and innovations that are currently going on in organizations and assess their value. What is the real meaning of this? We make you aware of your mindset about work and organizations and indicate possible shifts in this. Together we explore what ''teal organizations'' are: organizations with the characteristics of spiral yellow-turquoise, second tier level of consciousness. And we enter into a dialogue about the (burning) question: is it possible that organizations can be a vehicle for the conscious development of the people who work there? Can organizations take people in development to a more encompassing, broader and deeper perspective?
Toon Franken and Heleen Kuiper are concerned with Integral self-management in organizations. They are both inspired by Frederic Laloux's book 'Reinventing Organizations', Integral Theory, SDi and Theory U. They have followed training and education at Venwoude, Toon is also affiliated with Venwoude. They guide people in organizations in the search for 'teal organizing'.

And also possible, become a donor!
Organized by volunteers for volunteers. And the CHE has costs. From the Chamber of Commerce and the website to wanting to compensate for the time that goes into making connections between parties that enter into collaborations that they could not have dreamed of. To continue to make all this possible, we invite you to become a donor of the CHE. With an automatic transfer of at least € 20,– per month you make our work possible. The Center for Human Emergence NL is recognized as a charity, so your donations are tax deductible.
You can register as a donor by sending an email to Leidje@humanemergence.nl and/or transfer a one-time donation or monthly amount directly to IBAN account number NL51 TRIO 0212 4791 72 in the name of the Center for Human Emergence Foundation in Amsterdam.
