Launch Platform Young Mothers

PvdA MP Chantal Gill'ard makes an extra effort for teenage mothers: in addition to her contribution to the annual Mother's Night, she initiated the National Platform Young Parents, which was installed on 10 May with a Young Mother Pampering Day in Your Space, the home base of Your World. in Rotterdam.

In a crowded room of young mothers, partners and children, the brand new board members introduced themselves and presented what they want to discuss in the board of the Platform. This ranged from better imaging, better housing allocation, better study facilities, greater involvement of authorities, involving young fathers in parenting, attention to problems of teenage mothers aged 14-15, better working conditions for single fathers.

The young parents show that they themselves are willing to work to improve their lives. CHE has contributed to the set-up and will support the board in further shaping their Platform. More information at CHE Strategic Connector Anne-Marie Voorhoeve.
