New book about other ways of thinking and doing, with contributions from CHE'ers

This week the book BLOEI, working on happiness in organizations will be published. This book, edited by Kees Klomp, emphasizes a Rhenish, more humane way of doing business and conducting business and aims to counterbalance the Anglo-Saxon growth-crazed and 'can't stand' mentality that underlies the current systemic crisis. 'Bloei' contains essays by Anne-Marie Voorhoeve: Blooming through coherence, Peter Merry: The role of pain and passion in evolutionary Leadership and Gertjan Broekman: Management of Meaning. In addition, 38 other authors with alternative, spiritual visions on topics such as economics, marketing, management, entrepreneurship, coaching, leadership, science, sustainability, market and society. Kees Klomp says about this in his foreword:

If money and happiness are not the same, how are we supposed to move on? Economic crisis, ecological crisis, doom-mongering, how do we break through this negative spiral? What is wrong with our current society? I think we are in a collective identity crisis. We are stuck in our destructive behavior that stems from our thoughts and habits.

The authors in Bloom! want to contribute to turn this around. They give examples from their working environment that show that things can be done differently. The book consists of a collection of 41 essays (of which 19 as ebooks) with alternative, spiritual visions on topics such as economics, management, marketing, entrepreneurship, coaching, leadership, science, sustainability, market and society. What the essayists have in common is that they try to work mindfully and compassionately on a daily basis. They represent a socially critical – or rather: a socially realistic – sound. With their virtuous, subservient, sustainable way of living and working, the essayists show that a fairer and happier society is by no means idealistic for the future. It is a reality that exists in the here and now. We don't have to dream, we just have to wake up. An inspiring book for managers, organizational consultants, (sustainable) entrepreneurs, Buddhists and other people who are looking for inspiration and positivity.
