Africans are moving to cities and creating new lives, businesses and growth. Cities will double in size in a decade. And now our choice: better lives in resilient communities or struggling in slums.”
How will a better Africa happen? Through scaling up what works from one African city to the next. Future Cities Africa is fostering this learning and sharing because this is what will find the solutions and models for sustainable & resilient cities. Thanks to Cities of Joburg and to Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality for a decade of learning, to DBSA for early research leading up to the KM Africa Conference in Nairobi and thanks to cities across Uganda, Ghana, Ethiopia and Mozambique who are pioneering the FCA learning process and platform.
