What is the CHE?

CHE Our society is going through a transition of unprecedented magnitude. The financial crisis, the climate crisis and concerns about cultural divides are examples of issues that are the consequences of our successes of the last decades.

We cannot find solutions if we operate from the same ways of thinking and acting that have caused these problems. We are facing the challenge to develop new, more complex and creative ways of thinking and acting.

"We are creating an organization that will facilitate large-scale global change within a decade, something that has never been done before. We need a comprehensive overarching planet-oriented vision." — Don Beck, founder of CHE international

The Center for Human Emergence (CHE) is a community, a movement and a company. It is an innovative and unique organization wherein people with different backgrounds from multiple disciplines combine their strengths and share their growing consciousness. In this way, breakthrough insights arise that contribute to sustainable solutions to the issues raised in these times of transition.

"If you think you're too small to have an impact, try to go to sleep with a mosquito in the room" — Anita Roddick, founder of the Body Shop

The bridge between these insights and their relevant applications in daily life, is what CHE calls: 'synnervation':

syn—: the 'connecting'/'linking' (of the 'parts' in organizations and society),
—nervate: the (re)vitalization (of the new created whole).

Knowledge about pioneering methods and theories will be gained, broadened and deepened by attending training at the CHE School of Synnervation.

With the help of advisors and trainers ('synnervators') of CHE Synnervate, new methods and insights are being applied in organizations, neighbourhoods and alliances. CHE Synnervate as well as the CHE School of Synnervation are part of CHE Netherlands.

"Modern times ask for new maps, a new way of living, working and organizing. We are looking for practical ways to give shape to a civilization in which coherence and sustainability thrive. The CHE brings people together, who want to dedicate themselves to that. My expectation is that CHE will make a pioneering contribution to social innovation." — Herman Wijffels, CHE Wisdom Council

CHE Salon: the new season
Peter Merry, CHE Integral Alignment officer
In recent months, many people in and around the CHE NL have been articulating the need to stop and sense into what we are being called to do at this time. Following on from an intense engagement with issues surrounding sustainability and climate change, we have been asking ourselves what will really make a difference and what energises us? That has led us to a collective feeling that we should consciously and structurally take that need seriously and organise ourselves to look into what we are sensing.
